Why Alberta wants out? 2 minutes to understand

Why would Alberta want to separate from Canada? If your only education on the matter comes from the government of Canada's propaganda arm, the CBC, you'd surely think western separatists are insane? What if i told you the case for separation was so strong, so compelling, that this man in the video could convince you that it is actually insane for Alberta to stay in Canada (under the current status quo).

Take my 2 minute challenge and watch this video. 2 minutes!!

  1. How about if we make it illegal to video yourself while driving? Would that entice you idiots to join?

    1. lol, i love these sorts. fyi, "debunked over and over" is not an argument. you sound like some junior high half wit that thinks he's won a debate by shouting, "your momma".

    2. Agreed that the separatist talking points he gave been debunked.

The world price of oil has dropped so much from the Harper highs that Alberta has an ongoing serious revenue problem; heck, they now get equalization payments.

But *far* better to blame a federal Liberal government (and run by a Trudeau to boot) than acknowledge your real, deep, internal issues.

And for the record, had Canada not been there for Alberta in the dirty 30's, there would not have been an Alberta to speak of.

Cue the orchestra of scorched cats....

    3. please list these debunked separatist talking points, and the debunking arguments: but you can't can you? because you are a talking point, and your talking point is to call anything you disagree with a talking point.

oil prices are down you say, yep. so what. did you know that alberta has a backlog of oil building in our province. that we can produce 10x what we currently produce if we needed to (like how opec turns the pipes on or off). and why do we have this backlog of oil building, to the point where we have to stop pumping it? it's because alberta can't get our oil to markets because of the federal government (which has blocked 6 pipelines, and passed coastal legislation to ban our oil from being transported in tankers). we used to ship our oil out when harper was in power, and chretian, and martin. trudeau stopped that. did you know that? we can't ship our oil across seas to other begging customers anymore. who did that? yeah, that was all trudeau. so we're forced to try and send our oil to an american port, so we can ship it to asia, on their tankers. but trudeau killed those pipelines too. so we can't transport it to the usa. we even tried by train, but trudeau said he'd kill that too (to alaska).

and you need to look up the equalization payments charts again because what you said isn't even close to reality: you lied, or you don't understand how equalization works. the money we pay into equalization is bigger than what we receive back. yes, we're receiving more back now, this year, but it's from the money we already sent them. are you following? the feds are giving us back some of our own money, but still keeping most of it. so to say we're receiving more of our money back and claiming we're a net benefitter from equalization is a lie. we're only receiving more of our own bloody money back; we're still paying more than we receive. we are losing on equalization and we are still the largest net giver per capita in confederation.

  3. If Alberta had saved the money they made from their employers when it was Canadian owned, there would be no issues in Alberta.
